  1. You should be able to do the wall junctions using the Curved Wall tool. The widow reveals have been discussed in detail over the years - try refining your search criterion.
  2. You are adding unnecessary steps. Make sure both objects have the same properties - weight, color, linestyle, layer. Select the arc, click on the E or S of the arc, click on the polyline. The polyline and the arc should join to form an enclosed polyline. Done. Easy!
  3. OK The arc and the poyline have different properties - I think just line weight. You need to make them have the same properties. Then select the arc, click on the S - start of line and then click on the plot plan polyline. They should join together.
  4. No need to convert to a polyline. You are complicating this way beyond what is needed.
  5. Post the plan with a concise explanation of what you want.
  6. Why not select the angled property line (the arc chord) and use Change Line/Arc. Or you could use boolean Union. There are probably several others but either of the above should get you put of trouble.

  8. Don't forget that you can edit the cad block without exploding by using the Edit Cad Block tool.
  9. Open Preferences>Edit>Behaviors>Primary Movement Method>check Polar. Back in plan view select the window and drag it along the wall. As you drag, have a look at the status bar and note the distance moved and the angle. Keep the drag angle the same as the wall angle. Use TAB and then check the angle - it should be the same as you saw in the status bar.

  11. My best guess would be that you have at least one of the walls designated as No Room Definition. Select all the deck railing walls and open the dbx. General panel>Options>No Room Definition.
  12. What object snaps do you have turned on? It is easy to duplicate this problem if you only have On Object snaps turned on. I don'd think it is a problem in this case, but you should be aware that when Point To Point move is used, Angle Snaps do not work - you need to use the Shift key to temporarily toggle Angle Snaps on. Can you post a simple plan like your one above that demonstrates the problem.
  13. Looks OK on my old mac. Are you sure that you are using the AMD card?
  14. I am not sure of the context in which you want to use this information, but this may help. Open the dbx for the mulled unit >Label>Multiple Components>Show Component Labels or >Show Single Label For Entire Unit. This will determine how the windows are reported in a schedule. ie, Show Component Labels will display the windows as individual units in a schedule. This is a mulled unit using Show Component Labels.
  15. This can be done with 2 wall definitions with one of the walls (the post wall) designated as No Room Definition. I don't know if it would help much as you will still need to go around and locate the posts and studs. In this example I made the post wall thicker than the normal timber frame wall to exaggerate what is happening. I think there are better solutions though.
  16. First off, I think the reason they are not generating is that they are not technically lookouts (or whatever), because that section of roof is not cantilevered out over a wall - it is butting up against a wall - therefore, no lookouts. You should be able to use the Roof Blocking tool to draw them at the roof slope. You will probably have to adjust the size depending on what orientation you require.
  17. Try playing with Preferences>Appearance>Side Window Drag Docking>and Top/Bottom Docking.
  18. Yes, it seems to be caused by the Material Regions along that wall elevation. I can start deleting them and once they are down to a lower number, the diagonal line disappears. I didn't look any further, but why are your material regions extending up so far - they go way up past the roof. This may have some bearing on the problem. Try using solids instead of material regions and see what happens.
  19. Jack, Here is a zip file that contains the symbol and the materials. As you will see, the materials are not hedge materials but are materials like ivy, ground cover, grass... Have a play with the materials definitions to change the appearance - mainly scale. Hedge.zip
  20. Something like this? It is a symbol with various materials that can be edited to achieve the look you want - different material, scale, etc. The symbol can be stretched, resized, etc.
  21. You could try using a Post to Beam and then increase the size of the Beam.
  22. Try changing the Room Type to something other than Garage. A Garage room type will automatically build kerbs or stem walls.
